A 23-year-old Milton resident, Jacob Gallagher, lost his life, and two other young men sustained critical injuries in a crash in Santa Rosa County on Wednesday night. Jacob Gallagher, a former student at Milton High School and the owner and operator of Stateline Outdoor Living, LLC, graduated in 2018.

The tragic event unfolded at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Munson Highway, south of Indian Ford Road in Milton. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), three young men from Milton, two aged 23 and one aged 20, were travelling north on Munson Highway in a pickup truck. As of now, it remains unclear who was behind the wheel.
Simultaneously, a 66-year-old Milton woman was attempting to make a left turn in her sedan from northbound Munson Highway into the Lake Kristina Campground. FHP reports indicate that the pickup truck initiated a pass on the left side of the sedan, resulting in a collision with the left front of the vehicle. The impact caused the pickup truck to overturn, ejecting all three occupants.
Casualties and Injuries:
Jacob Gallagher, the 23-year-old Milton man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other occupants, a 23-year-old and a 20-year-old, were rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. The condition of the injured individuals is currently unknown. Remarkably, no one in the sedan suffered injuries during the collision.
